OH i thought of another one. There was a water tub in the inn that you had to use to fill up empty buckets of water for brewing. Already on the list that one is...

I find it really great that you are giving up your time to try and accomodate the player base here Mek. Thank you for that. Just as a side note for everyone else though, If you really want to see something changed or done, don't complain or gripe about it (not that anyone is...) just do it yourself. A long long time ago, I saw a need for the Trade Exchange (and just about everything else in Battle Isle) and without asking or expecting other people to do it I took the initiative and just did it. Since then, I've relearned 4 times over that no matter what you do, you cannot please them all as there is always going to be someone with some kind of gripe. My gripe? Simple access for the mundane tasks that will (should) give you more time to enjoy the game for rp'ing and adventuring. So...don't bust a nut on this Mek, as we appreciate everything you're trying to do for the community.

::)To the general crafting populace: As I understand it, the server owner is in favor of making crafting challenging, thus all things crafting are scattered in Lomatin, and Peri. Personally I think we all did crafting in Battle Isle because it is more conducive to crafting if the tools and supplies are in one place. That was not to say that EVERYTHING to craft all items were in Battle Isle, as they should not have been.
Merin has her little fingers in many crafting pots and she is a natural scavenger so when she was out and about, she collected all things unusual in the way of grains and trees and spider silk for later use. (I think I probably have lots of Belladona-the herb - but if you would tell me the difference, I will check ;D I have lots in my chests) I expected more people to be asking for or buying herbs, hides etc for crafting off the player venders, they have a wealth of things that you need to craft. At one point Shali Hendel's vendor had 5-6 pages of CRN items that no one bought , so she cleared them off. Make use of the Player Vendors, that is their job. Ask players. Merin asked about badger skins a few months back, as she was trying to make leather pouches and her friends showered her with Bags O everything from Sparks, Lightning and Poison. Unfortunately I am just now leveling in crafting to make use of these gifts.( I just wanted badger skins but will never look a gift character in the mouth!) I think that we need to make more use of each other and collect and share what is needed.
Aside from the fact that I have one character that is a Freeblade, I find it interesting that before the fall of Battle Isle, many of the same people that are whining now about lacks in the economy were bashing the FB organization while making use of its resources and good prices. You can't have it both ways, people. If you want to be an evil character and associate with known evil characters, don't be surprised if the goodly aligned characters don't want to play with you or question your motives. Evil is as evil does. In OOC life, you are judged by who you associate with and old customs die hard. I think that our virtual world does a pretty good job trying to react reasonably to a person with both goodly and evil aligned characters, but if you pop that trust bubble with your actions once, you should not be surprised if people translate that lack of trust to your other characters also. Its only human nature. And after this post, I'm sure that people will be throwing stones at me, but so be it. I like Talus and I'm standing up for its ideals today.

The problem with using player vendors for crafting items is most of the supplies only sell for 1 gp. The result is that the player looses gp by placing such things with his/her vendor. Also there is a tendency to get too many pages filled and potentially create lag. The player vendors work well for prearranged trades but unless gold doesn't mean anything to you they are probably not the best way to handle crafting supplies. It would be nice if some of the basic components sold for more then players that weren't into crafting might start harvesting them and selling them where crafters could buy them.
