I will quote myself here from an earlier post in this very topic.
"No one knows for sure how much of the current warming trend is caused by us.
Also it is becoming known via geological records that our earth climate seems to be cyclical from cold to hot or what ever the cycle is.
Are we effecting our planet? My guess is yes but how much and is that amount enough to cause the climate to go out of wack more than it would on its own during its own cycles? Thats the true question and one that we dont really know the answer to 100%." END QUOTE
If you dont like the russian scientist BW thats your right and I am indeed glad that your worried about the planet we all share and yes are affecting.
As I stated earlier and have quoted, I do believe we are effecting the climat.
The big question to which there is no emperical (thanks for the correct spelling BW) evidence that all scientist from all fields of expertise (regardless of their nationality) agree on.
It does indeed appear from historical evidence that the earth does change its climate.
Again we come to the big questions:
#1 Is man effecting earths climate (i already said i think we are) ?
#2 To what degree are we effecting said climate?
#3 Is this effect from man causing or accelerating Global warming?
These are the real questions (IMO) and #3 is were my casual reading of various scientific papers shows the scientific community is NOT in agreement.
This topic is just as controversial as Religion and or Politics.
You have ardent believers on both sides of the issue and some of us who are in the middle somewhere.
I don't know about you but I think this topic has run its course as a discussion point here on the forums since it does seem to be getting a bit touchy.
I have tried to present my thoughts as clearly as I could.
I have said my piece and thats the best I can do.
