You arent going to get anyone to vote an open vote LT. Cause i am sure several of us have several friends running for the same office and wouldnt want the others to think we preferred one over the other.

-New Grand Chamberlains will be appointed ...or after a 3 month term ... Does this mean that a new vote takes place in 3 months and that the chamberlain has a 3 month term?

I'm thinking that would be beneficial in keeping that post active and to ensure that whoever is in it is doing all that they can to keep it. Any comments or suggestions on this or should we just leave it as is not re-vote every 3 months?

I am ok with a short term rulership. Keep in mind that 3 month real time is much longer in game world time.

I'm torn. Yeah 3 months is suposedly a long time in the game clock, but some story lines can take a while to play out. Just look at how long it's taken to get a new leader chosen this time.
What if replacement was by appointment?
You have the setup for a second in command already, if the main one leaves / quits the Magistrate takes over and then fills the lower post by appointment.
You would only need to do a new vote if both went MIA without naming a replacement.

I think that 3 months is very short. There will be alot of work that the person who gets voted in will have to do to get things going. I think Greyfax had an excellent idea of how to decide when the next Player is in charge of this guild.

I agree, Marshal->Magistrate->Grand Chamberlain. The food chain has been set!

If it hasn't already been done, I will do something of the like spontaneously when Amarhea and I are on at the same time.

I've been trying to get Lomstel and Dan0man_ATX together as well. So far Saturday Afternoon 10/22/05 around 6:30CST looks good for everyone. I would like to do the party thing, then address any issues other players have with deeds and such.
