Here is where we end up going into things best avoided in order to give a more complete picture, however since we are still heading down that road here goes.
Starx was already warned in game about these comments, some made via nwn talk mode, some via the forums, which were removed. Having had to be warned there is now extra sensitivity to comments that continue on the same theme.
When giving constructive criticism an extra layer of politeness helps if you are making critical comments, which I didn't notice being used.
An even better approach is to avoid the criticizing elements and jump into the positive ones, such as simply saying "I think we need some more light hearted quests and if made a DM I plan to do so".

For example, I think that Inviktus (who is clearly more accustomed to high-level combat as a DM,) needs to ponder whether or not a pair of level seven characters can handle twenty-odd CR 10+ish driders, before dropping the spidery things on someone. ( ) While you presented this in a playful manner, you did exclude the circumstances of the activities leading up to this occurrence. Namely the pair of characters wandering about a drow residence in the city of Cresent, killing drow citizens and loudly disparaging the goddess Lloth. I actually considered it lenient that they were allowed to escape alive.

That is the point I am making. Constructive criticism is good... whereas, Star-X made it clear in other posts that he doesn't like the Star Fall quest. I understand his concern but I think it should be dropped. If he doesn't like the quest then he doesn't have to join and show a little more respect to the current dms. That is the point I am making. lantharslair.proboards10.com/index.cgi?board=playertalk&action=display&thread=1205724385I hate to bring up this dirt again, but this is why I am defensive about this subject.

The most difficult part of offering constructive criticism is that the one offering doesn't always know everything about the decision made - and, for that reason, it's never a one-way street. *Tips his hat.*

Yes, and I will happily admit that balancing action vs role play, challenge vs reward, consequences vs enjoyment is a lot of balls to keep in the air. All of us drop a few now and then.

*Sighs with relief* Glad we finally are at an agreement.
