**Krellon Freeblade approaches the UFTN Generals council with long determined strides. As he gets closer he awaits for them to finish talking so as to not interrupt**
"Ah Krell, hello there" replies Sgt. Venedette Lewis of Snow City. "How was your Bog's survey mission?"
Clearing his throat, he looks at the few assembled generals gathered, waiting on his words to come. "It seems their is some evidence of the concerns brought forth from the collective of Academic scholars of the Lands to the UFTN council."
"I don't have the arcane skills to make a qualified argument, but as a Bog's Ranger I can tell you all here and now, indeed, if what these scholars are saying is true, then there is definite evidence that the environment is suffering from something as last week my environmental bogs survey mission counted 5 Bog Treants."
"Yesterday, myself, N'kara, some dwarf of Hatsheput(sp?) and a paladin named Karia Smith ventured deep into the bogs to do our survey and though we found the usual number of werecreatures, snakes, trolls and goblins, we only counted 3 Bog Treants!"
"As you know these creatures live for hundreds, thousands even of years and yet in the space of a week, two of their numbers have disappeared? Something is not right there." Squeezing his helmet tighter under his arms, Krell can see the many faces before scrutiny in thought.
The room is full of silence as those gathered about seem to be contemplating Krell's report. Standing gracefully, Starlin Freeblade approaches to stand beside Krell and to address the other generals gathered.
"It seems that there may be some credible truth to the words of the academic scholars that the overusage, and the accumulated years of Hellball spells are INDEED affecting the world of Talus in a manner that we are not entirely sure of but one that could have a very bad effect on our future."
Parting her hair behind her ear, she steps forward to the other generals, "We need to enforce a "NO HELLBALL" policy amongst all UFTN members until we can truly study cause and the effects they are having on our environment, do you agree with me?" She looks out to see a unanimous nodding of heads. Turning to meet Krell's gaze, "Thank you Krell for your mission into the bogs and for your report. Is that all?"
Fiddling with his helmet wings he hesitates slowly as if deciding on something..."Actually lady Starlin and assembled leaders, I do have something to report that is odd in nature and I feel you should know about."
Looking serious, Starlin takes a seat to listen to him.
"While we were on the way to do our bogs survey mission, we came across a crash site of a fallen star just north of Peridotia. What was odd about it though was that the fallen star was missing and there were two sets of tracks in the immediate area."
The Crash Site
"Though both sets were of dragon kind, one set I tracked leading back to Peridotia and just before they neared the town gates they uhm, turned into the tracks of an average size humanoid and the other set of tracks just disappeared, but with the impression they left in the ground led me to believe that this dragon flew off the plateau."
"I did find a very small green dragon scale near the ones that flew off. This led me to believe that Gorasanala could have been involved so the party and I went to his cave to scout him out and sure enough he was not there and neither was his treasure."
"Which if you know dragons is very odd" Krell falls silent to let his words sink in.
With a small voice, a Sunshine Pixie rep speaks up "A fallen star is a great and powerful prize to a dragon. The fact that a dragon would come so close to human lands says that indeed it is worth risking it's life for and for a dragon to do that says again that this fallen star is something special, but in what way I do not know. You were right to bring us this news Krellon, thank you."
Nodding, Krell waits to be dismissed when Starlin speaks up again to all in the Alliance Hall meeting "You mentioned a set of tracks leading into Peridotia, that means that someone there knows something. With the UFTN's permission, I would like to use our resources to do a scry on the area to find out additional information." Looking around, she sees the approval of the audience and nods.
"Alright, that'll be all Krellon, thank you and your team for finding this information. " She dismisses him with a smile and a wave.
Leaving the muted and hushed voices behind him, Krell walks out to the city streets of Mirek below to breathe in the ocean air.
Looking up the late afternoon sky, his mind entertains the consequences of a truly powerful dragon and what it would do the lands he loves so much.....
OOC:
There are two events here. Event 1 is the "The Fallen Star" that I'm doing for a player Paladin HA weapon (Sir Kendric Dragonsbane) and open to any that want to get involved and the "other sets of tracks that lead into Peridotia" is actually from another player that I originally did the fallen meteorite rp with.
Ironically, this event ties directly into the other event...
And event two is a server open event called "The HellBall Theory" Any learned wizards, bards or sorcerers over level 10 can tell that lately there is something "odd in the air" some kind of charged, electrical feel to it and that it didn't happen over night but rather there are reports of the more learned arcane that this has been happening now gradually for the last 3-5 years but only recently has this "charged air energy" been felt by many, even those not so learned in the arts can now feel it's magical touch.
It's there like a thought in the back of your mind, incorporeal but vividly present around you and especially so whenever you use teleportation magic. The more powerful you get, the more strength you can feel emanating from it.
As the lead in event involves two other players as main characters, it'll be ran the moment the two can get together this week and the Hellball Theory event fallowing.
More info to come!
