Lomstel, Vlotka and myself can now say that there is an issue introduced with either 1.69 and or cep 2.1 The greater sword belt and the lesser purple, neither one seems to be reducing its damage from attacks. !!!
I have not tested all the belts but the sverfneblin should not be able to harm my character. After i almost died I checked my combat screen and found that the DR i was getting is only 7, which i believe is coming from my subrace DR. Lomstel was able to demonstrate several times that the greater sword belt isnt working normally either... He has tested the greater brawler/archer and those ARE working fine. Neither of us has tested the lesser belts yet...
Again the issue appears to be specific to the greater swordsmen and the lesser purple belts... Any clues or ideas ?

I would be glad to test some more with you rfree.
This test is going to be easier than the last one we did about same type damage stacking because the combat screen does show you your DR taken off each physical attack.
I will be on again tonight to test.

7/29 (tuesday) Lanthar reset the server for us just so we could test if the belt DR issue was somehow related to a resettable variable (which we all thought wasnt likely but worth the try anyhow). I tested just a short time ago and i can say the lesser purple belt still isnt working one bit. So other than the patch or the cep update i dont know what else is the issue since we are a server that doesnt run a lot of haks.

With some reading of this patch 1.69 item: - Fixed how Damage Resistance works against weapons that do more than one type of damage (i.e. Morning Stars and Halberds). The target now uses the worst of the multiple damage resistances against weapons that inflict more than one base weapon damage type. And some testing in game we have found that many high level monsters have multi-type damage and are now even more scary. So...it's not a bug, it's a "feature".
