After returning from a grand adventure and slaying an evil lich named Chernabus, Ellaro De S'kul decided it was time to take a break in the nearby settlement of Snow City. During his approach, he was greeted by the Snow City cannon crewmen. They seemed rather bored and Ellaro thought they could use some entertainment. Then for some reason...like something in his soul was being lured by some force that wouldn't allow him to do anything but it's will, he raised his axe and chopped the first cannon crewman's head clean off. He then proceeded to slay all who stood before him. He killed everyone, women, children, guards...until he reached the other side of snow city, then reality sunk in, and reality felt good *evil laugh*
He figured, as tough as he may be, it was best he cleared out of there asap. And so knowing they watched him leave to the south, he decided to change his garment, hid his armor and anything that would give him away into some bags of holding, and snuck right back into snow city. The best place to hide is in plain sight. After pretending to be a horrified traveler, he asked for another way outa here, and was told of a boat to Peri just north west of snow city. So he and a small group of merchants left snow city and proceeded to to Peri.
Knowing no one would expect him in Peri, (or so he thought) He dressed back into his normal garments and noticed some extra gear in his belongings. Seeing that he didn't need these extra things cluttering up his inventory, it was time to go find a merchant willing to pay for them. Finding most merchants around Peri didn't pay for things and only sold things, he asked about for who paid for items. He was told the inn keeper James usually was interested in rare items. So he visited James and sold him most of his loot when James got a really serious look on his face. James then started looking at Ellaro with a scared and worried face. He asked Ellaro where he got the items bearing the snow city symbol. Ellaro told him they belonged to people who wont be needing them anymore. This seemed to scare James even more and so he asked Ellaro his name. Ellaro laughed and leaned in close to James and said, oh don't worry, you'll be next and so will the rest of Peri. Not really wanting to get his hands dirty at the moment, he decided he'll save the slaughter for another day and left poor James shaking in his chair.
Well now, nothing in Peri seemed very interesting so he jumped on the first boat he saw, and off to Mirek he went. He heard of a mages tower somewhere in Mirek that could teleport you all over the world. This sort of knowledge is always good to know and so he started looking around for it, but before he knew it he was standing in front of temple. And that lure within him started to boil over again, and without a will of his own he entered the temple of Pelor and started slaughtering all within it's grounds. After several dozen corpses at his feet, he decided to smash the statue of Pelor itself. After he started hacking it with his axe he started to feel alot slower and really sluggish. He then looked down and noticed he had been changed into a death slaad. Quickly turning around he noticed the high priest of Pelor was casting another spell...and then dark slumber overcame him.
When Ellaro awoke, he found himself in a cell. He then started yelling, HEY! What am I doing in here! Thats when he noticed his voice sounded different and he noticed his body was not that of a death slaad, but of a rotting corpse? The Sgt came to his cell and started telling him that a priest of Pelor dropped him off, and that he fit the description of the man who attacked our city a few days back.
so much more to write....will be continued, time to eat.
