Here are guidelines and notes concerning player guilds:
Please post here if you have any question or would like elaboration on Talus' guild policy.
- Player guilds are run by the player(s) in charge of that guild. DMs and administrators do not control guilds unless they are the character in question that heads a particular guild. A DM is only going to supercede a guild rule, activity, or event when it is clearly in violation of server rules.
- Guilds can setup any rules they like that do not violate server rules. This means a guild can exclude your character as they see fit. Please do not take guild rules, benefits, or penalties personally. If you feel that things have become personal then you are to bring it to my attention.
- No player, DM, or administrator may create a character using a guild name without the permission of that guild. Period. It does not matter if the guild is active or not. Currently, character naming conventions using Freeblade, HC, or Tir'Daramgo are not allowed without express permission of the leaders of those guilds. For the Freeblades you need to talk with Longtide. For the Tir'Dramagos you need to talk with me. For the Holy Crusaders you need to talk with HC Sayuri. Characters named improperly are subject to change or deletion.
- For the most part, guilds play a small role in Talus. There aren't really any active guilds because the player base in Talus has changed. Regardless, rather than delete guilds and their areas, I have kept guild areas in place so that an event can be run if desired. Dormant guilds (those that still have potential to be active) are the Freeblades, EN, HC, and the Tir'Daramgos. There may be a surface evil guild that gets put into place as well in the very near future. If there is player interest from multiple players then I will accommodate guild creation or wishes.
