Royal Guards (Defense & Law Enforcement)
Royal Cavaliers (Offense & Special Forces)
Royal Scouts (Intelligence & Reconnaissance)
Non-Militant Royal Order & its general roll

What I envision is to have generic troops of the three militant orders to be named in this format....

Sis and I hadn't really considered 'named' HC NPCs until now. I dont know if you plan to have them or not, but it might be good for quests and plot lines if you planned that.
We dont really have to worry about Royal or Noble ranks at the moment, as the only HC Royal in Talus is Kisaki, and the only HC Noble is Ractar. Its mostly military forces that have shown up from the home kingdom.
There are of course all kinds of regular support folks from street sweepers and maids and cooks to book keepers, but they wouldn't need to have any special title, and would likely be hired from the host population of a city or the surrounding communities.

The HC military is a mix of the races that make up its kingdom, and while HC has begun to recruit from the Talus population, it is still mostly made up of volunteers from its host kingdom. That population breaks down roughly as follows....
15% - Elf (all kinds, but mostly Gold, Wood and Wild)
30% - Human (mostly of an Asian type heritage, most of the rest of a Norse type heritage)
25% - Half-Elf (mix of the above two. Inter-marriage of humans and elves is increasingly common now that the great wars have ended. 60% of the half elves in the kingdom are 35 yrs old or less)
15% - Dwarf (all kinds)
5% - Half-ling
3% - Gnome
5% - Celestial
2% - Other
~
While all the races are welcome to apply to the Royal Orders, each order naturally has certain draws to certain races. The following is a basic breakdown of the 5 most common races in each, in order of most to least.
Royal Guards - Human, Dwarf, Half-Elf, Celestial, Elf
Royal Cavaliers - Human, Half-Elf, Elf, Dwarf, Celestial
Royal Scouts - Elf, Half-Elf, Human, Half-ling, Dwarf
Royal Scholars - Human, Elf, Half-elf, Gnome, Dwarf
The basic hierarchy of HC in Talus is as follows:
Queen Mother - Kisaki Talonfire
(Half-Elf, Mage\Cleric of Mystra)
Represents the will of the HC Royal Family and is the official Ambassador of the HC kingdom to Talus with final say on almost all matters. Kisaki is also leader of the Royal Scholar Order.
Duke - Ractar Talonfire
(Elf, AArcher\Mage\Ranger of Mielikki)
Represents the will of the HC Parliament, and is the direct adviser to the Ambassador on all things in his purview. Ractar also is a representative of the Sylvan court In the HC kingdom, and plays the roll of Assistant Ambassador of HC to the elven nations of Talus. Ractar is a legacy Royal Scout, and is half brother to Kisaki.
Knight Paramount of the Royal Scouts - Sayuri Zhang Ziyi
(Half-Elf, Monk\Ranger\Paladin of Lathander)
Represents the will of the Commandant of the Royal Scouts, and plays a dual roll of Commanding officer of her Royal Order in Talus, and Grand Marshal of all HC military personnel in Talus. Sayuri is in all effects, second only to Kisaki in her decision making authority.
Knight Exemplar of the Royal Cavaliers - Aishi The Blood Blade
(Human, Rogue\WM\Fighter)
Represents the will of the Commandant of the Royal Cavaliers and is the commanding officer of her Royal Order in Talus. A former pirate of The Sword Coast, Aishi was recently promoted to her current position by proving herself in martial combat, and the need for the leader of this order to be well versed in naval combat. The former CO, Truhls Rohk, returned to the HC kingdom due to a family emergency. Aishi was formerly the assistant CO of the Royal Scouts.
Knight Exemplar of the Royal Guards - Xanos Armilastar
(Half-Celestial, Fighter\WM\Champion of Torm)
Represents the will of the Commandant of the Royal Guards and is the commanding officer of his Royal Order in Talus. Xanos was hand picked by Kisaki for the position, and runs the Royal Guards with absolute efficiency, demanding nothing but the most loyal and dedicated Royal Guards for Talus.
High Magi of the Royal Scholars - Whispers Low
(Half-Elf, Mage\fighter\wm,) Former character of Vlotka, may be good candidate for an NPC
Assistant and personal body guard of Kisaki. Whispers is commonly sent on missions of diplomacy and intelligence gathering by Kisaki.
Knight Honor of the Royal Guards - Cravex LeDrake
(Paladin of Tyr, but other information unknown, former character of Cravex who is now inactive)
Cravex is the assistant CO of the Royal Guards.
I used to have more information before it was lost when the first HC post board was accidentally deleted by LT. Let me know if this answers all your questions.
