Is it possible to add sand deposits to the Lomatin Beach? So far my character, Anais, has had to travel as far as the Halidian Flats to collect sand, in order to create the glassware required for her alchemy experiments. I don't have a problem doing this, but I'm just curious to know why I can't pick up sand at the beach, which is filled with sand.

Lomatin definitly needs more CNR receipies. It also needs a bunch fixed. As it is once you get much over 10th level you won't be using man and perhaps any CNR items (Rory is still using a few old ATS ones he saved and I remember Maura being very upset at looseing an ATS helm she had).
I was wondering if we needed a thread specifically for receipe suggestions and or errors or if they should go in the associated craft thread.
Here is a list of errors that I remember finding:
Healing kits +3 and higher: put the ingrediants in and it stays red and won't let you craft them.
Grizzly bear leather armor: You make it and it never appears (you do get the exp).
Several of the low level scrolls you put the ingrediants in and they stay red.
It would be nice to differentiat CNR vs Bioware empty scrolls and holy water. I know the scrolls have different images but no clue to a neo about which is which. I haven't found any CNR holy water yet so it's possible the receipies I tried to use with the holy water I found were broken. When my alchemy gets up a bit more will make some holy water and then be sure.

I think the fishing one would be an execelent idea. Perhaps you could catch certain fish in streams or on the shore but to get the big ones you would have to charter a boat. It could be like the pirate attack but just not getting attacked.

Perhaps it would encourage trade if the player vendors charged less. What do you all think of that?
Also, I know I'd be willing to do some trade with other crafters/tradesfolk if I knew what they had to offer. (A single character can't do it all, so it behooves me to negotiate with other folks who are expert miners or smiths, for instance.) Remember, there's a thread in the "In Character" forum called "Crafters Classifieds" where you can post an announcement about your skills and wares for sale.

There is sand in the tunnel that you get to through the Lomatin cemetary.

I have quite a few suggestions for the game. First off armor, helms, guantlets...I've noticed that no one has even bothered to make some custom items. Im pretty tired of going to a game and seeing the same old 'winged helm' i can buy or a common 'banded mail' I'd rather see custom items made...set items, like Diablo 2. Like instead of 'Winged Helm' being white and gold..make it red and call it a 'Mursamune Helm'. Instead of 'Banded Mail' call it 'Blue Crush' or 'Sepera's Wall' and change the color and look of it up a bit. Wouldn't that be nice? If you could go to a game and actually find custom made items or set items that you could collect forming a full set each doing some great feat. Instead of a Necromancer Robe it's called Black robe..and if you wanted it to be black with blue or green highlights call it a 'Black Robe of Invert'? ---How about starter items like a whole set of leather things, or chain stuff.-----
Second I think more subraces should be made. Like becoming a Vampire, you could get a coffin..you could pick up the coffin and move it anywhere you wish to sleep at. You couldnt leave the coffin in the sun because if you did your vampire would die. You would be afraid of garlic.... holy water and get hurt in the sunlight, but you could suck blood and turn into a bat at a certain level...mabye some other add-ons to it. You could get 'Vampire teeth' or a stone that told you when its day or night. Vampire's would have there own place to be at..also you could do them in higher ranks by lvls like the highest vampire would be a [Ancient Vampire] lower than that you'd be a [Fledgling] stuff like that. Blood systems. You could have one person you could turn into a vamp. given permission of course, they could be stunned.
Other than a Vampire subrace how about a Demon..halfDemon, or halfDrow, a Lizardfolk, or Lycaner (werewolf), halfcentaur, or giant.....flying beast? There are alot of possiblities, anyway those are my two main ideas I needed to tell everyone and I'd like to hear any replys on it. Mabye get em' passed.
/I can help out in the manner of making up names, nice abilities, and the item making if need be. I'd be more than happy to in fact. I play on the game as either: Ziun Mitsurugi, Sarius Blood, or Ashrus Valdin if anyone needs to get in-touch with me ./

Another idea just popped into my head that i forgot.
How about a big library for those who want to know things about the game. Or plots, even people from the game submiting stories or ideas for books.
You could do a poll book for things that need to be added..make a ballot box somewhere and make some paper called 'YES paper' people could take the 'YES paper' and put it in a certain ballot box to vote on something. Also, you could do the world's story..im sure people wouldnt mind reading about the games plot if it has one otherwise i'd never know it did. How aobut a subrace book? You could have all the subraces listed in one book. Then in anohter book have the different subrace descriptions. There is alot of books you could make that people would actually read as long as there not long stories that have nothing to do with the MOD or books that arent interesting in anyway..it's no wonder people don't like to read them in different MODs. It's because the books that are made aren't about the MOD they are books NWN made and they are in dungeons? who puts books in dungeons? They don't go there they go in librarys in towns.
Again I'd be more that happy to hear any replies or agreements with these ideas.

Well we actually do have alot of subraces, maybe not so much as demon, but we do have fiend and fiendish. All the ones posted on the sight are in the module and some even have the actual ingame models EX: pixie and orc. Although Anj hasnt updated the website there are even more then posted. THere are bearfolk, wolffolk, minotaurs, ogres and im sure vamps will actually be in here soon. so were pretty updated with subraces right now. NOw on customs items, the only customs items we have right now are color changed items that people specifically ask for. And i agree with you there could be more diversity in colors on armor. Actually we have tons of customs items, just not for sell in shops yet. Anyways back to homework...
P.S wrong section to put this in

I made it up to 5th lvl in Tailoring and I'm starting to realize from looking at the recipie list that the stuff i'm going to be making is substandard to what is available off vendures in the game. How are we supposed to use tradeskills to earn a living if we can't sell them to other players and the vendors won't buy most of the stuff we produce? I can understand pursuing a skill if what you get is better than what you can just buy off vendors or if the game limits the dropped weapons and armor and stuff sold off vendors to +1. But at this point for both roleplaying and playing why bother?
p.s. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if q and r were removed.

We definitly need some more items but you can sell all your crafted items you just have to look around a bit. Note that some merchants will buy them for a much better price than others.

IMHO, the best way I can see to make any kind ofprofit of the trade skills is quantity. But that is hard to do. I still see alot of potential here for fun and rp options.
Quite a few times the gang and I will rp "missions" of looking for new resources or even a "mining" mission for lots of one type of material.
I've also wondered if would be feasibly better to have a merchant sell some of the lower "completed" items like leather pouches and stuff like that to help the general flow of trades.
As my character gets higher in levels, I've noticed that she is getting better treasure spawns. Better to the point that soon, only a few trade items crafted from players will she be looking for (potions, scrolls etc).
Curious as to how many level 25+ characters even craft anymore though.

A crafting bazar would be neat. Basically a merchant that only sells crafted items that have been sold to him or maybe a few of the basics that are avaialble elsewhere. The trick would be better prices at both ends.

I just want to see some use out of the tradeskills. Being a monk the only thing I can really use are the heal kits and the weight reduction bags from Tailoring. (and I can't find any aloe leafs to save my life) It would be nice to be able to tailor a Gi or something. How hard is it to modify the system and add new items?
