My computer currently has some sort of virus that I can't get at. I tried using my work computer to run a scan but that computer now has problems - I can't get a mouse to work on it in any configuration. I tried mysterling's computer but slaving on that is not going to happen. Work on T2 is not happening until I get my computer back. If my work computer and my home computer have extended problems then I'll be out to lunch for awhile. I simply don't have any money for computers these days. (And I'm not soliciting for help...my woes run far deeper than just a couple of computers  ). I'm going to my dad's house in the morning to see what I can do. Keep you fingers crossed. |

Ouch this sounds ugly.
Hope you get it worked out with minimal extra effort on your part.
I believe we have all been in that boat at least once and its frustrating.

So far I'm having no success.
I'm going to talk with someone tomorrow because what I've tried so far is not working. I was on hold with Microsoft for 15 mins before I decided that I have a life and that I need my phone, not mysterlings POS.

You know if push comes to shove I will share my computer. That's not going to help. All my building stuff is on my computer. Plus, that doesn't exactly get my computer going so it solves nothing. |

Looks like I fixed it. Man, this felt like a championship fight; you have no idea the craziness I went through to fix this thing.
The topper is that I called a computer shop to ask them what they could do and their response was to reload the OS. Really?? So my china shop is overrun by a few spiders, and your "solution" is to destroy the shop with a bulldozer? What about my pretty little plates and bowls, hmm?
Bunch of half-wit "programmers" and "technicians".
UPDATE - Not quite there yet...I still have some anomalies that I'm working on. I'm making progress but I can tell the bug is still running.

I think I'm alright, it's only Firefox that seems to be affected so I'll download it again today. Going to see where I left off on T2.

It turns out that a backdoor virus was responsible for Firefox's issues. Looks like I FINALLY have a clean computer. woo hoo. No really, I'm relieved more than anything. Like I said, it feels like I've been physically fighting the net for the past few days. Now on to the goodies I've been looking to add.....  |

Like I said, it feels like I've been physically fighting the net for the past few days. Now on to the goodies I've been looking to add..... Argh. Not fixed. I'm going to save my important stuff and reinstall the OS. At least I can get to important files. |

So osa is buying you a new pc for christmas? *wink wink* also she needs to log in so she can start getting the monopoly on all the thieving activities on T2, otherwise my mage/assassin will start her own thieves guild and we can have some guild wars over who gets all the booty. |
