Talus Speech System and DMFI

Hi,

I notice that the Talus Speech erf wants to overwrite a bunch of DMFI objects and scripts. I'm actually using the latest DMFI (alpha 8), and don't really want to overwrite my current DMFI with an older version.

Do I have to overwrite all of these objects and scripts, or can I just make the modifications to the DMFI scripts as detailed in the installation instructions?

I would suggest you compare the differences in a straight dmfi 1.07 against the stuff in the setup module. (using some program like windiff...)

Then make the same changes to the 1.08 and merge my erf with it. Wouldn't you know it, I wait 4 months, until it looks like 1.07 is the last version... and sure enough, they come out with 1.08 right after I release the merged code... sigh.

Well, don't feel too bad...

1.08 has been in alpha for what seems like forever. But I do think it's probably going to be the last release.

So the version in 3.02b is 1.07?

Oh, and... Thanks for creating such a great addon for nwserver. Now that I've played with the speech system, I can't imagine playing a world without it.
