Sporadic reports have come from the wilderness north and east of Lomatin. Hunters, trappers, and adventurers have noted that the Tartaran volcano seems to have picked up in activity as of late.
These reports have not been substantiated by authorities in Lomatin, whom have nonetheless taken note and are looking at whether seismic and volcano activity might pose any danger to Lomatin and the surrounding area.

Early reports of volcanic activity at the Tartaran volcano are coming in, bearing weight upon earlier reports. Lomatin leaders are consulting with mages, clerics, and learned persons to try and determine whether this development poses any danger at all for Lomatin.
It is known that Lomatin has been rebuilt in the past. Whether rebuilding has occurred due to planar activity, natural disaster, or both, is not known at this time. Leaders of the city do not believe Lomatin is in any danger but are still gathering information related to this and past events.
Citizens are asked to go about their daily business as usual. This fact finding mission is said to be simply a precaution.

Kisaki frowns as she studies the latest written reports of volcano activity from the Lomatin city council, and her own scouts.
Knowing full well the destructive effects that a volcano can have from both land and sea, she orders the preparation of evacuation portals within the embassy hall.
Speaking to her personal assistant and body guard...
"Whispers, see to preparing all the stores and armory for movement to Peridotia. We may have to leave in a hurry."
Whispers bows silently.
"O, and make sure to extend an invitation to the city council to assist in evacuation of the city if it should come to that."
Whispers nods and leaves.

A messenger arrives at the Blue River estate. Aelos of Faermoor invites the messenger in and feeds him before sending the carrier on his way. Upstairs, in his study, he reads the note and begins to puzzle out the possible implications.
Hours drag along, as he searches through his vast collection of old documents and manuscripts. Finally, he emerges from his library with a look of grave concern. He then talks with Osa and the dragon leaders that are present.
"There are instances where that volcano has caused catastrophe to cities nearby, such as Lomatin. On the one hand, I think that what may be Old Lomatin that can be accessed from the Underdark is the site of....well, perhaps it should be more accurately said that the Planar Rift found its catalyst there. But the Sunken Fortress was, I believe, sunken because of the Tartaran Volcano. And there is an older "Lomatin" if you will, underneath the present city. I think that's what is accessed by the sewers under the Temple of Bahamut.
"That mountain has caused the destruction of at least two major cities, and who knows how many others? Our task should be twofold: We need to take a look for ourselves in the Tartaran Mountains, and we need to let Lomatin know, without any doubt, that the mountain can crush the city. This we know; it has before."
With that, Aelos sets about to travel and see what is going on in the wilderness for himself, and attempts to send word back to the UFTN and the authorities in Lomatin.

Aelos sets out for the wilderness along with his trusted companion, Gnosis. They make haste for the Tartaran Volcano and spend as much of their journey as they can traveling in stealth or, if needed, invisible. Aelos reasoned that taking some time to avoid encounters would save time in the long run.
When they approached near the volcano, it was apparent that there was far more activity than normal; however, being difficult to see at ground level, they both took to flight. Not to fly to the volcano, but to fly directly up so as to gain a better vantage.
The volcano became eerily quiet, and then they both saw the explosion as the mountain tore part of its top off! They had not heard the blast yet, and Aelos yelled "GET COVER! WE'LL GET HIT WITH THAT!!" The two flew away and down to the ground to find cover from debris and ash that was surely to come. When on the ground at as safe a place as they could find in short notice, they felt the ground begin to undulate, then a great shaking....
"Oh my...," exclaimed Aelos. Then a grave look overcame him. To no one in particular, he said "I hope Lomatin got word. I hope they aren't in peril."
But neither he nor Gnosis believed his words. They feared the worst.

DISASTER IN LOMATIN!!
Word is pouring in that Lomatin has been struck by natural calamity! If the reports are to be believed, much of the city lies in ruins. Thousands have perished, and anarchy rules the city! Outlaws have taken control of the streets and lawful authority is non-existent!
More to come as we await further news!!

Octavian felt the stone shake beneath his feet as he left the Lomatin graveyard and teleported himself to Olciax to visit his dear friend Silky Dove.
"Wonder what could that have been?"' he asked himself as he entered Silky's home.

The young wizard, Volokh emerges from his room at the Challenger's Inn, ready to travel to Lomatin. As he reaches the ship to sail from Peridotia, he notices a barricade and a huge sign has been erected on the dock.
"No one sails to Lomatin? What could this be?", he asks himself. The sign directed him to seek a ship from Alvar so he decided to travel there.
As he finished fighting his way through the Alvar Swamps, he realized there had been some sort of change to the landscape. It seemed the town of Alvar had not only moved more north from the swamps than it had been but it had also grown in size and prominence into what appeared to be a thriving port city. Much had changed in his absence, Volokh took note.
Locating the ship he had been directed to use, the mage found himself coming to port east of Lomatin at what was called the Farmlands Port. He spoke to several people yet none cared to explain what had happened. Finally he reached the fields and headed south. Change was the weakest of words one could use to describe what Volokh found when he did enter the remains of Lomatin City... ruins upon ruins... chaos shouted throughout the streets... and wicked men attacking at will.
Quickly the mage found himself in battle for his very life! He fought and succeeded to put down his attackers. And just as quick he left the ruins of Lomatin yet still with no answers...
// I loved it!!! And now comes the Days of Alvar and much death to be dealt by the DMs!!! Oops, I mean adventures, hehe... Great work BW, it is awesome!!!

Osa having heard of the Tsunami quickly gathered up her teas and other herbs, blankets, tents, food and any other supplies she can think of.
Looks around at all the dead washing up in Smugglers Point. O: George we are going to need a burial party or there will be disease raging ramped through out all the land ( can you tell I lived through a few hurricanes).
Slowly turns over bodies to attempt to identify them all.
Quickly she goes to the barracks hires a few guards to help her load the dead into a cart.
O: *to the hired hands* we will have to bury them in Peridotia Cemetery.
Osa alerts her son Aeolus that his services as the Cleric of the Lady of Whispers is needed immediately.
Identifies a few bodies (( will wait to insert names for the pcs that will be deleted))
*tears fall from her face* loads the cart.
Go to the tanners in Peridotia city and gets shovels. Heads to cemetery's and starts helping dig grave after grave.
Heads back for the next load of dead. *screams* NOOOO *holds a females head and blotted body in her arms* NOOOOOOO
We might not of got along but this is a horrible death.
Gently lays Meg aside. She will be buried on my land. loads the cart, then places Meg on the top of the load.
Sets Meg's body aside digs graves again. The bodies that have been identified sets them in a mausoleum till their families or friends can properly bury them where they wished to be at or those who wanted to be cremated have that done. Then begins burying the dead that have not been identified.
*To one of the helper* O: We must declare a time of morning for all.
Osa picks up Meg's body and takes her to the Big Blue Lake to be buried.
Orders a tombstone for Meg's grave.. Goes inside the estate and changes to a solid black dress.

Once Osa arrives at the estate on the Big Blue Lake.. She finds a tree near a waterfall to place Meg's body. Then plants a rose bush there as well.
Then Osa goes to the sign at the entrance of Aelos and her land. Places black banners that read this land and its owners are in mourning. Draps trees with black ribbons.
*sighs* Enters the estate and sits by her fireplace and sips tea and eats
