A topographical layout of the Halidian Flats expansion. In the lower South West you will find an rp area complete with a local tavern, a few standard merchants (still working on standard merchants), a special halfling merchant and a merchant that sells some unique wands and rods. There are also two round, basic turf houses that I think could be up for grabs soon for characters using this place as their background. The large main building is for the resident leader of this area, Azuul. A mysterious merchant now self proclaimed king that no one but his personal guards and concubines has seen him. Rumors speak that this once merchant hit "gold" somewhere out there in the deserts and now is considered one of the richest people in all the lands. (Still working on this building) Also in the works is a special NPC with a magical buffing script (courtesy of Slidermike) that will help buff characters with useful spells for a small price. To the east and north you're in Stinger territory, good for levels 10-15. (Semi-Scaleable) To the west and north your in Asabi territory, good for levels 10-20. (Semi-Scaleable) Mastering the interior borders of the flats are the Halidian FireLords, good for levels 15-30. (Semi-Scaleable) And of course, in the very center will be (reads should be) the new location of the Watcher's Keep). (Levels unknown yet). In the NorthWest and the SouthEast corners you have the races "home" turf and for now their leaders. (Bosses). -Nineteen new creatures -4 Boss encounters -And still in the working stages with coming updates.

hiladian flats are up where the gypsy camp is, the formian ants and asabi. north of lomat. If you can find the mitharmin mountain inn, your almost there.
(this of course is dependant upon me having the foggiest idea of where it is.)

Mat, the new and improved area isn't imported yet. LT is doing a final shake down on the new area on his own pc, then will send it to Lan for inclusion on the server.

I know that slie , but by the time I log on again, and walk all the way up there they might be . That reminds me ... where's Anderheim?

I was not telling you a fib Mat. The new Azuul area is not in yet. As for Anderhiem, it's north and west of Snow City.
If you can find the Athbasca(sp?) mountains, your on the right path. Outside of that, if you can RP a reason to get better directions from some online characters, im for that.

Athabasca mountains ... hmmm... you know want me to go to Alberta, to look for oil and tar!! Geography lesson for some . I did try asking quite a few people about Anderheim in game one time, but without much luck. In fact many people had never heard of it... I will obviously have to ask the right people, who have travelled the lands. Or find a map merchant ... isn't there one in the Drow caverns called Gu'gle Er'th?

I had a quick look last night. The Oasis is great, liked all the shops, halfling merchant sells some usefully stuff, and the rod merchant is awesome - picked myself up something really nice there . On the downside, I don't think there was anywhere to get any healing there, so it's a bit of a walk back to somewhere else - no big deal, if you are going to wander in the dessert make sure you are prepared! Actually if you are going to wander anywhere that LT has made make sure you are prepared! The building in the middle at the top of the Oasis, that has a guard outside and blue awnings... the south door is locked, but the other 3 open/unlocked but have no transition. I know it is work in progress, but I thought I would mention it just in case. The encounters are great, very well balanced, and the monsters AI certainly make for a different encounter. For some reason I had an urge to run to the store for some Wasabi peas ... hmmmm. . I only went up the west side to the camp in the NW corner before having to return ( read run like hell) back to the Oasis. Great job LT, I look forward to exploring the rest.

Well, it looks like Frome is no longer around and that we have a giant hole in the Halidian deserts. Any Ideas what we could use this for? I would suggest the new mage place that is still under construction, but that will be placed somewhere off the coast of the Athabasca mountain glaciers.
Any ideas?
PS. The leftover trans that are in the Halidian areas were placed there to reserve future expansions of that area, but I do believe Talus is facing some limitions (due to NWN engine and this effects ALL PW's), so I think we are only adding in new areas now that serve a specific purpose (like the new in demand mage area). So, in other words, this expansion is open for others to build with it (should we as a community decide to expand it) otherwise it will not be expanded for an indefinite time. (This is not even on my list of projects to do.)
PSS. With some of the talk of how NWN 2 is not going to be readily available for Multi-player, I'm thinking now of long term projects for Talus NWN 1 and of actually completing them.
