The basic premise is, a group of characters adventuring, together, on a regular basis.
We'll start from about level 1, and work out way up as we go.
The ideal group would consist of 2, maybe 3, fighter classes. This includes Fighters, Paladins, Barbarians, and to a lesser extent, Rangers and Monks.
A cleric will be very handy! As will a Sorcerer or Wizard. A Rogue is pretty much a must for some of the places we'll be going. A Bard would be nice, but is not a must have.
We'll basically just be doing the regular, scripted quests, and going out 'hunting', and role playing.
I'd like folks to stick to the less exotic subraces, no Trolls, Ogres, Half-Fiends, etc. Basically, the 7 core races, or a direct subrace of those like wild elf, wood elf, gold dwarf, whatever. basically, any race with ECL of 2 or higher, this includes celestials and fiendish, even though they start at ECL 0, their ECL increases as they gain levels.
Please only play the character during the weekly sessions, unless you fall too far behind, then you may level up to the average group level. Addendum: You MAY play your character outside of the group game, provided it is strictly for role play purpose, and you earn no (or minimal) xp during that period.
Also, do NOT pass items one from another of your characters to your group character. Not even if they somehow know each other by being 2nd cousins 5 times removed on their mother's sister's brother's side.
