Thank you for the update BW. Really appreciate your efforts & communication with us too. So any chance of getting T2 back online to play this weekend even if it is without the new gold encumbernce system? Couple of us would LOVE to continue exploring. Probably not this weekend - I'm having computer issues on my end and I'm going to be doing good to even take a look at anything in the next couple of days. I need to check several other things as well. If I can't make any progress with bugs (and perhaps in spite of any progress) then I will be working on some outdoor areas as well. The computer gods are against me this week. Such is the life of a beta module.

One other, very small item I noticed. *not a bug just house keeping*
In the module description it still says Cep 2.2 & direct connect worldoftalus.com
Load the module in the toolset, choose "module properties" then in the "description" tab you can change them to Cep 2.4 direct connect worldoftalus.com:5123 (talus2)
in the Talus module the description would be direct connect worldoftalus.com:5121 (talus1)

Tonight I am taking a look at the gold encumbrance issue. Last week and weekend was too brutal for me with RL stuff and I was not able to look at it at all.

Major gold sucking bug here. Was traveling north from Northport towards Hammerfall. Stopped at carriage house to see where I could go. I had 75 gold exactly on me. My only option was to go back to Northport so I told the guy never mind. He gave my gold back, but a couple minutes later, while fighting two wolves, 75 gold dissappeared from my inventory. Didn't notice until I stopped at the carriage house south of Northport. Scrolled back through the texts and found it. Odd. Only 75 gold, no biggy. Continued on to Crescent Bay. Was going to hitch a ride to Valahna via carriage but needed coin now. Went to bounties office to turn in rat whiskers. Got 640 gold total from him (32 whiskers)...immediately I started loosing gold. The server took 75 gold at a shot, 6 times and the last time was 40 gold. All told I lost 715 gold. This IS a big deal. I think it might be tied to the carriage conversion some how. So far I am not able to recreate this occurrence. It's not going to be tied into conversations or scripting, it will have to do with gold encumbrance; however, I've done exactly the same thing as described here and had no problems. I have no doubt that you lost gold as described. There may be something that you did or did not do (and have not described here) that was the contributing factor. I'm going to do some more running around in the next couple of days...at the moment I'm at a loss to address a bug that I can't see or recreate.

... Oh and one other small request if I could. The haunted house in Valhana appears to have its chests limted to refill only on server reset not a timer based refill. ... This is not correct, and there is no bug here.

I can join you on T2 to recreate the issue.
The conditions of the gold loss occoured when 2 or more people are in party, one is talking to the travel merchant while the other person is on another map (not with the travel merchant). I suspect it has to do with one person repeatedly talking to the travel merchant while in party with others (not on the same map) who have gold on their persons. I do not believe the amount of gold to be as important.

As I say, I'm at a loss to fix a bug that I can't recreate.

BW, thank you for all the effort you are putting into finding this gold related issue. Can we ask then since it does not seem replicatable (at least in current testing) do you plan for T2 to come out of password protect for more player fun, any time frame you feel comfortable putting out to us? Whatever you feel is proper of course.

I believe that I have fixed the losing gold issue. I was in party with mysterling and I was in a conversation with a carriage merchant and she was in a conversation with a tailoring model and she had gold taken while I didn't. After that I was able to jump around carriages with no gold taken. So that was the critical factor - both (multiple) players in party had to be in conversation with one of them in a carriage conversation and everything went fubar from there. It's not doing this now after I made a few scripting changes.

Well done BW, I knew you'd figure it out. Scripting can be extrememly fickle...you're a better man than me for taking on the challenge.

I just got up - I tested Dev Crit Hit last night which is nerfed as intended. Right now I am testing a few new transitions and a couple of other things, then I'll update T2, then we'll open it up to players.

Well, I started exploreing pirate spit, and well I broke into the second house i saw, and fell into a pit. Problem is, I can't use a grappling hook in there, and nothing to find with search, so essentially I'm kinda stuck and can't play anymore.

Ellis, I found the pirate spit; found a place with a pit; fell in also. Searched high and low for secret exit. - no Joy I had to walk around tossing up the grapple several times. Started to think "if im stuck in here i wont be happy" Finally near one of the walls I was able to get a good grapple up.
It sounds like you may have found the very same building.
In cases like this having the "self Kill" option is going to be very helpful. I know you like me can make up the xp and gold soon enough vs being stuck somewhere not able to play.
Ellis, shoot me a PM (or email) and i can log in tonight and come grapple down to you from above so you can climb out.

There is a place to use a grappling hook, you just need to explore and try different spots in the pit.
