Tried to embelish some mithral chain mail and it wouldn't work. Didn't seam to recognize the armor. This has happened with one other armor type but not with chain shirts or scale armor.

How far can you actually go with the weapon making? At the summit of my skills, am I limited to making weapons that add +1 fire damage or something similarly mediocre? Or will I be able to make Keen weapons and ones with 2d8 acid damage? Just wondering how it works, before I start investing a great deal of time into one craft or another.

I honestly have no idea. I remember back with ATS you had very little availability of blueprints compared to CNR, but at the same time you seemed to pump out nicer stuff. Most CNR things I've seen thus far at "high-end" only add weight reduction or, as you said, a very mediocre damage bonus. *shrugs*

CNR is SHlT. The items aren't worth making while you can just buy better ones in the store.

I wouldn't go that far. They can be good for earning exp and gp. The weapons and armor you make can be good up through 10th level or beyond. Of course if you get to challenge 5 annd start crafting by the time you can make the better stuff you'll probably be level 10 from all the exp for crafting. (I think when Rory hit 16th level about 2/3rds of his exp was from crafting). There is always the chance that someoen will add some good receipes.
You definitly could make better stuff with ATS especially considering you could only go to 20th level then and some of the items were useful at 20th level.

It'd be nice if LAN added more CNR recipes.

Go to the wood crafter and he will sell you a reciepe card. That will tell you all the ingrediants. Other skills you may want to pick up: tailoring - for makeing bow strings and bags smelting - for copper, tin, bronze, iron, and silver ingots tinkering - for arrow heads Enchanting - for enchanted bags ? jewlry makeing - for gem dust (I think this is required for some or allthe magic bags but may be wrong on that.
Note the above is for CNR crafting you can also use the Bioware crafting system but I'm not familiar enough with it to give much advice there.
Feel free to ask me questions if I'm on line: last names of MacRugh,Hammerhand, and Gerlock.

There is a great difference in what the CNR worksheets say the armor and helm properties should be. Could someone verify for me what the properties of the CNR armor and helm properties are on Talus?
Bronze Iron Platinum Adamantium Cobalt Mithril Adorned
Some might not apply to both armor and helms

I'm pretty sure adorned is +2 and 60% weight reduction. and Mithiril is +1.
I'll try and check out the others tonight if no one else has responeded by then.

Here's what I've got this AM rest will probably be tonight or tomorrow: iron - bludgeoning resits 5 adamantium - piercing resist 5 cobalt - fire resits 5
Helms and full plate tested. cobalt helm allows concentration +1 for got to check the other helms but they are with my vendor if someone hasn't sold them. The vendor between Peredotia's gates and the challenges has a fair amount of crafted armor as I recall also.
